Parent Engagement means the participation of parents in regular, two-way, and meaningful communication involving student academic learning and other school activities

United ISD Volunteers are parents, business or community members who are willing to donate their time and expertise in assisting with activities in one or more schools. Individuals who seek to serve as volunteers must submit an on-line application prior to beginning a volunteer activity through the automated volunteer management system called BCHEX. Volunteer applications are valid from August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026.

In support of strengthening student academic achievement, each campus that receives Title I, Part A funds must develop jointly with, agree on, and distribute to, parents of participating children a written parent and family engagement policy. This policy describes how the campus will implement a number of specific parent engagement activities such as workshops, family events and meetings with teachers. The goal is to make sure families feel connected to the school and have the information and support they need to help their child(ren) succeed.

Para fortalecer el rendimiento académico estudiantil, cada campus que recibe fondos del Título I, Parte A, debe desarrollar, acordar y distribuir conjuntamente con los padres de los niños participantes una política escrita de participación de padres y familias. Esta política describe cómo el campus implementará diversas actividades específicas de participación de padres, como talleres, eventos familiares y reuniones con el profesorado. El objetivo es asegurar que las familias se sientan conectadas con la escuela y reciban la información y el apoyo necesarios para ayudar a sus hijos a alcanzar el éxito.

Relating to harassment, bullying, and cyberbullying of a public school student or minor and encouraging certain mental health programs for public school students; increasing a criminal penalty, providing a civil remedy.
